Martha's Sampler Club

Why a club?

Because I wanted a freindly feel to this group. A group of people who will have ownership and share the journey as this sampler is produced for you to stitch.

Thank you for your patience - I'll try to get an update about this chart in the next month or so...
Matha is now hanging in my bedroom in my new unit now that I've relocated - and updating my own lifestyle . . .. .bronny

Merry Christmas 2010 from Martha

As a gift from Martha and myself for Christmas 2010 - here is a snippet of the sampler, which could be worked as a small Christmas Ornament or perhaps a scissor fob

I do promise to show more and more of Martha in 2011 - perhaps another ornament to celebrate her birthdate.

Happy Stitching and Merry Christmas from Martha Mansfield. (rather fitting that MMX is the roman numerals for 2010!)

(sorry all - I thought I had this scheduled for 1st December, but I goofed - here it is 4 days later......bronny)

A snippet of Martha

It's been a long time since I last posted, and I admit that not a lot has happened to Martha in the meantime.  However, I do intend to get a lot more done in 2011.
To thank those who have joined Martha's Sampler Club so far, I will release a snippet of the sampler on 1st December 2010 to be used as a Christmas Ornament of Scissor Fob.
Here is a teaser - my camera has picked up this tiny section of sampler really well, you can see the texture of the floss used and how much it has faded through the decades.

Pop on back on the 1st of December for your small snippet.

Martha's Sampler - the first step of our Journey

It is time that I organise myself and get this blog started.
I hope to gather followers who are interested in Martha and her sampler. She stitched this at the age of 9 - in 1840.
I like this and would stitch this pattern myself - so others may like it too. I want to share my journey while charting this sampler with others who can get just as enthused about it.
If you want to follow this journey with me - simply join as a follower.
